Add to CalendarSounds of L.A. 2006 opens with Turkish multi-instrumentalist, Omar Faruk Tekbilek. A child prodigy, “Faruk” is known around the world for a refined yet passionate sound and his commitment to bridging cultures. In addition to his ensemble, he will be joined by Hasan Isakkut on "kanun" for a performance that combines traditional acoustic elements with beautiful and rich electronic harmonies.
When: Saturday, January 28, 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 29, 3:00 p.m.
