Kuumbwa Jazz Center, on Saturday August 18, 2007 KAWEH brings Rumba Flamenca Latin Fusion with Mediterranean & Middle Eastern influences to Santa Cruz.

San Jose, CA- Kaweh is creating quite a stir amongst Latin and Flamenco music lovers in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Persian/German Guitarist/Vocalist “Kaweh” is accompanied by Cuban vocalist/guitarist “Kenia Rodriguez”, bassist “Mark Kraft” from Los Angeles & up and coming multi-instrumentalist “Willie Garza” .

The group performs original compositions from three of their four albums. The night’s repertoir also includes songs from the upcoming 2008 release. The crowd danced every time the group performed at a “sit down” venue. So be ready! The group also performs songs by the Gypsy Kings and several Latin and Italian standards.

This is a small venue so get your tickets early. Seating is limited to 200 and open to all ages. Food and Beverages is available through the venue. Tickets are only $20adv. And $25 at the door.
