We have moved beyond election results. This is about Rights. This is about Change. This is now a protest for what has been taken from the Iranian people for the last 30 years. FREEDOM!
Please join us in support of the brave men and women of Iran. We have a larger impact in bigger numbers so PLEASE INVITE AS MANY AS YOU CAN.
Here are the plans:
Meet at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach. We will walk and rally until we reach The Gallery at Beach Place, where the protest will continue. Just before leaving, we will light candles on the beach for Neda as a sign of appreciation for those that have sacrificed so much in this cause. Please bring your signs, pictures, white candles, and lighters.
Next, head over to Kuluck for a Special Poetry Night dedicated to these protests. There will be a ceremonial release of white doves to signify that the memory of Neda and what she stands for will live on forever. This will be followed by two guest speakers.

The 7 Ingredients of Influence Workshop
Bay Area - Peninsula Sunday - June 28, 2009 11:45 AM
Feeling left out of the political process?
The Iranian-America community is one of the wealthiest groups in the United States. We pay more taxes per capita than almost all other ethnic groups. We have succeeded in almost all fields
SO WHY DON'T WE HAVE ANY POLITICAL INFLUENCE IN THE US?!
Come learn how YOU can gain political influence, and how the Iranian-American community can become a political force!
Learn how to:
• influence policy beyond voting and donating money
• frame an issue for maximum impact on an intended audience
• write effective letters to be published by newspaper and magazine editors
• set-up meetings with your elected officials
The workshop is interactive and the participants will be forced to question previously held beliefs about influence and power in the American political system, while also meeting other active Iranian Americans in the area.
Price: $20- General Public $10- NIAC members and students
$30-at the door
(a light lunch will be served)
