Mark Edward Harris
Illustrated Talk on New Book: "Inside Iran"
The Islamic Republic of Iran is at the center of world attention politically, socially, and culturally - but it remains largely a cipher to the West.
Award-winning photographer Mark Edward Harris traveled throughout Iran to produce a fascinating view of a society of juxtapositions - ancient and modern, commercial and spiritual, serene and intense, political and personal.
"Inside Iran" is the first contemporary photographic look at a country whose future is likely to influence our own.
Harris will offer a narrated presentation of images from this new book. The evening program will be held in the museum auditorium.
The program is co-sponsored by Asia Society Southern California.
Books will be available for purchase and signing. Light refreshments. Reservations advised, 626.449.2742, ext. 20.
