    For the January Zanan gathering, we have an interesting workshop
    on cultural identity and gender, conducted by family therapist,
    Azizeh Rezaiyan. This workshop will be in Persian and coed.

    In this interactive workshop we will explore and examine our gender
    prejudice and biases on our genders and its impact on our
    interactions with self and others within and out side American
    and Persian culture.
    Azizeh E. Rezaiyan is a psychotherapist and has a private practice
    in Burlingame , California . Azizeh received her Masters in
    Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute
    in Southern California . Her years of clinical training since
    1994 include expertise in individual therapy, couples therapy
    (including cross-cultural marital issues), family therapy, and
    group therapy, with a focus on stress, depression, employment
    issues, relationship issues, sexual and physical and political
    abuse, domestic violence, perinatal and prenatal issues, adoption,
    and chemical dependency transitions. In addition to her post
    graduate study, Azizeh has been studying and practicing couples
    therapy in California / Esalan Institute as well as in Germany
    and Switzerland , with Rosenberg ?s Integrative Body Psychotherapy,
    which is an internationally well known institute for their
    innovative somatic approach to psychotherapy. Azizeh offers
    seminars and workshops on couples, child development, parenting,
    mother-daughter relationship depression and anger management.

    This highly acclaimed film, which was one of the most successful in the history of Iranian cinema, was directed by one of Iran�s greatest filmmakers, Rasoul Mollaqolipour, who died at the age of 50 in March 2007 making this his final film. Sepideh (Golshifteh Farahani) is injured by chemical attacks during the 1980-88 Iraq-Iran war and years later, when she is expecting her first baby, discovers that the embryo is damaged due to the chemical effects.
