You're a man and you want to become a woman? The Islamic Republic of Iran can help.

Plastic tells the story of a man who wants to become a woman. It explores the creation of gender identity and how the law supports desire, in a dynamic and stylish piece of contemporary theatre. The audience are invited to experience a new world through the performance of a skilled and tightly choreographed company, innovative film and sound, and a team of architectural and theatre design specialists.

Mehrdad Seyf brings an anarchic surrealist humour to these private and political moments where religion, identity, love, sex and gender roles culminate in a world shaped by plastic surgery, mediated images and the drive to be a domestic goddess.

Presented in the subterranean arches of the Pleasance UnderGrand, Plastic is a unique blend of visual, humour and song, presented to the Fringe for the first time.

Thank you for your continuous support. Join us for our first hike of 2008 start your new year resolution and burn-off all of your holiday fat!!! Our next hike will be on New Years Day, Tuesday, Jan 01, 2008 at 9:30 am sharp. We will be hiking at Coyote Hills Park , Fremont,CA.

This is an easy hike about 5.1 mile loop across a marsh, then up and down grassy hills above the bay. Everyone is welcome children, and families. We will meet at front of the visitor Center in the Parking Lot (Look for Bay Area Persian Social Club & Recreation ™ Poster).
