Vidur Kapur has emerged as an increasingly popular and unique queer and Indian act in America and internationally, following his feature on MTV LOGO’s Outlaugh Festival on Wisecrack with Margaret Cho and the short film about him on Steven Spielberg’s “On The Lot’ on FOX tv. Vidur was recently featured in a documentary called “Making Funny” as one of the top US comedians and headlined a DVD taping called “ The Indian Invasion”, featuring the top Indian comedians in the US. Vidur was featured as a leading comedian in a Reuters Television piece shown on 500 stations around the world on "Prominent South Asians in the Media" along with internationally known celebrities such as Mira Nair, Director of Monsoon Wedding and The Namesake, and Naveen Andrews of ABC's LOST and Parminder Nagra of "ER".

Vidur is going to be taking his one of a kind and endearing laugh riot much beyond NYC...In October catch him at:

* Davidson College in NC on 10/6

* OUTSpokane in Spokane, WA on 10/7

* Montana State University on 10/9

This show of “Laughing Out Loud: Starring Vidur Kapur” also includes an all star cast including Emcee Chris Dilley who performed for 9 years as Trampolina with internationally renowned dragapella quartet The Kinsey Sicks, including in runs Off-Broadway and in Las Vegas. His one-man cabaret show earned rave reviews at San Francisco’s Plush Room, which ran in rep with Patti Lupone. While Trampolina has disgraced the stage numerous times at Gotham, Chris is thrilled to make his Gotham debut ... in pants! The show will also have a special guest performance by the hilarious Jason Stuart, recently seen on “Everybody Hates Chris”, “Mind of Mencia”, “The George Lopez Show”, House MD and a recurring role on ABC’s sitcom “My Wife and Kids”. Look for a special surprise lesbian guest comic soon to be added.

Vidur Kapur's stand-up comedy is based on the social commentary of a one-man culture clash. A South Asian raised in a conservative upper middle class family in New Delhi, an overachiever with a degree from The London School of Economics and Ph.D. coursework at the University of Chicago, a misfit in a family focused on arranged marriages and social status, a chic urban trend-crazy gay fashion victim in West Hollywood and Manhattan, a corporate executive escapee from blue chip international firms, an immigrant to the US, and a person horrified at being mistaken for a terrorist in a post 9/11 America.
