On September 18, 2006, Anousheh blasted off for an eight-day expedition aboard the International Space Station as part of the Expedition 14 crew of the Soyuz TMA-9, which included NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin. Her mission was followed by millions on the web through her incredible blog and Grammy Award-winning Production/DJ Act Deep Dish honoured her with a special track called "Be the Change". Oprah also invited Anousheh to be a special guest on her show to share her experience of fulfilling a lifelong dream. You can read Anousheh's spaceblog at http://spaceblog.xprize.org/.
