The first all-female orchestra in Tunisia, El Azifet has shared the intensely textured music of Tunisia with enthusiastic audiences around the globe. Formed in 1992 by violinist, conservatory director, and conductor Amina Srarfi, this pioneering ensemble is celebrated for its exquisite rendering of the very emblem of Tunisian identity, the malouf. With both a warm embrace of times past and an eager eye to the future, El Azifet brilliantly demonstrates the potent transcendence of the country's music and culture. Complements the exhibition "Stories in Stone: Conserving Mosaics of Roman Africa; Masterpieces from the National Museums of Tunisia," currently on display at the Getty Villa

This fund-raising Dance event is held at an Arts Center in Walnut Creek and 100% of the proceeds will go toward purchase of Medical equipment, medication and services to the Children with Cancer. So, we need your help to advertise, assist with ticket sales and donation for this worthy cause. Join us at the event to have fun and assist with this very worthy cause.
