After touring Europe in 2005 with their latest project Gol-e Behesht (Rose of Paradise) which recieved standing ovations in every city, Parisa and the Dastan Ensemble have begun their US and Canada tour of Gol-e Behesht this year. Parisa is a highly accomplished and groudbreaking master and singer of Iranian classical music. Dastan is the most renowned ensemble of this genre. Together, they join to perform Iranian classical music based on the Radif. The lyrics are Persian poems from poets such as Nizami and Rumi. The music is highly intimate and hair-raising.
