    "An Evening With Lian Ensemble"

    Following the appalling and tragic earthquake in Bam that has left over 60 thousand dead and injured, the Persian American Culture Centre for Promotion of Persian Culture, Music and Literature in Los Angeles has planned to hold a fund-raising event for the survivors of Bam earthquake in Iran at the Palace of Fine arts Theatre. The celebrated Lian Ensemble will join two renowned contemporary music vocalist from Iran who will be performing together for the first time:

    Soleyman Vaseghi after 20 years of silence and Behzad Behzadpour, who lost about 60 of his relative in Bam's Earthquake. Together they will present masterpieces of Mystical Persian Music. Their program features new compositions and improvisations drawing on the rich heritage of Persian classical music, contemporary and ancient Sufi poetry.

    All proceeds of the concert will fund Bam Earthquake survivors.
