Vancouver based composer/conductor/arranger/Tar player Amir Koushkani and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra collaborate with Amir’s Nava Ensemble, mixing Persian Classical music and the Western Classical tradition for the very first time in Vancouver. Amir has written his Concerto No.1 for Tar and Orchestra especially for this concert event, and this will of course be the World Premiere of this concerto.
