Mission Statement: The mission of the Lunar New Year Unity Parade is to bring our community's broad spectrum of cultures together while celebrating the Lunar New Year. In producing this event, we encourage people from all backgrounds to work together as a team and showcase our diverse heritage in a quality program. We encourage people of all ethnicities, ages and backgrounds to participate in this fun event and make it an annual Cupertino festival for the future.

- Ashtanga Yoga as a complete non-secular path towards self- realization, reviewing the eight traditional limbs or aims of the Yoga practice
- Subtle Body Physiology of Yoga: the seven chakras, three main nadis, and kundalini energy
- Exploration of the three main bandhas, or body locks, utilized during pranayama or breath regulation techniques and asana practice
- Creative and correct use of props such as bolsters, sandbags, blankets, and blocks during asana practice

The guest speaker is Azizeh E. Rezaiyan. Azizeh is a Licensed Marriage, Family Psychotherapist with extensive experience counseling individuals, couples and families. Her specialties and areas of expertise are on Pre -& perinatal psychology, couples and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Her work is based on Integrative Body Psychotherapy and includes variety of theories such as Object Relations, Self Psychology and Gestalt Therapy.

(The Psychology and Science of Attachment)
2-Newborn to Age 4 (Formation of “SELF”)
Learning about the emotional tasks, which our children need to achieve by the help of their parents/caregivers
3-Pre- Teens and Teens
Learning about the emotional quests of our teens for “Individuation” and parenting skills, which help us to connect with our teens in a firm but loving way.

The Iranian Cultural Organization at UCSF presents...---Persian Bazm---
A night of traditional Persian music by local artists in benefit of the Bam earthquake victims
Please join us in this humanitarian effort to help rebuild Bam and help rebuild lives.
The benefit program will consist of performances by 3 musical ensembles, a slideshow depicting the recent tragedy in Bam, Iran, and an auction of Iranian art and handicrafts.
Cost of admission: $15 per person.
