Bam/ISAA Fundraising Tahmineh Milani Event (sponsored by CalIran):

Iranian Student Alliance in America (ISAA) presents "A Night with a Milani".
Maryam Milani who worked on the film with her sister Tahmineh Milani
will be presenting their new movie: "The Fifth Reaction." Maryam
Milani will give a brief talk after the movie regarding the purpose
of the film and the women's movement in Iran. A question and answer
session will follow.

Synopsis of Film: A young woman, Fereshteh who teaches at a Tehran
high school has lost her husband recently. According to the law and
tradition, she has to leave the fate of her two sons (9 and 7 years
old) and the wealth of her husband to her father in law who is a
traditional minded man, while she has to return to her father's house.

With the help of her four colleagues (each having an unresolved
problem in their life), Fereshteh manages to show a reaction to her
condition... the concept of the film is confrontation of tradition
and modernism.

Cast: Niki Karimi, Jamshid Hashempour, Merila Zareie, Shahab
hosseini, Gohar kheirandish
