The Persian Library Committee at the San Mateo Public
Library is planning a special educational event to
share our Yalda traditions with the broader San Mateo
community. On Sunday, December 21, 2003 from 2:00 -
4:30 PM the Library will present Persian music,
poetry, and a presentation on the many rituals and
traditions of our Yalda celebration. This event will
be held at the San Mateo Public Library at 1100 Park
Place in our new Event Lobby on the ground floor.
We are looking for business or individual sponsors to
help us make this event a real community celebration.
A tax deductible donation this educational event will
highlight local merchants and directly contribute to
the further expansion of the Persian Collection in the
New San Mateo Library. Please see the Sponsorship
Opportunity Sheet attached.

Persian Educational Event - Learning About Yalda

The Persian Library Committee is planning a special event
to share our Yalda traditions with the broader San Mateo
community on Sunday, December 21, 2003 from 2:00 - 4:30 PM.
This will be an afternoon of Persian music, poetry,
and an educational presentation on the Yalda Celebration.
We are looking for business or individual sponsors
for this educational event that contributes to the
further expansion of the Persian Collection in the
New San Mateo Library.
Sponsor Recognition Points
·Sponsors will be listed on the 600 invitations,
listed in the program materials for 100 attendees,
and promoted on the library website that
receives over 4320 visitors a month
·Sponsor will be listed on the event's promotion
display and materials at the San Mateo Temporary
Library with 8,000 weekly visitors
·Sponsor recognition will be included in all
publicity information sent to
local newspapers, radio and TV stations
Sponsor Packages: Level One $50 includes all
of the above sponsor recognition points
Level Two $100 includes all the above sponsor
recognition points, plus a special bookplate inscribed
with their name and placed in a book in the
Persian Collection in the New Library
Level Three $250 includes all the above sponsor
recognition points, the special bookplate inscribed
with their name and placed in a book in the Persian
Collection in the New Library, plus the opportunity
to provide a display of your business card or brochure
on a event sponsor table
