Meet Firoozeh Dumas Author of Funny in Farsi
This free program, sponsored by the Alameda County Library Foundation,
will be held in the Fukaya Room of the Fremont Main Library. The
Fremont Main Library, a branch of the Alameda County Library System is located
at 2400 Stevenson Blvd. and is wheelchair accessible. An ASL interpreter

The Alameda County Library Foundation proudly presents an
afternoon with Firoozeh Dumas, author of the critically
acclaimed Funny in Farsi. Dumas' novel chronicles the hilarious
and true misadventures of Firoozeh and her family's life in
America-including her extended family, as Iranian uncles and
cousins descended on her California home for year-long "visits."
Funny in Farsi has received glowing praise from the L.A Times,
Library Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle and former President
Jimmy Carter and was just selected as Orange County's Read One
Book for 2004. Ms. Dumas is charming, witty and talented- don't
