Supporting the men and women of Iran who are fighting for freedom and democracy.
The Iranian-American community is gathering on the West Steps of the Capitol this Friday, June 19th from 5 to 8pm to show their respect for those who have sacrificed their lives in support of freedom and democracy in Iran.
This gathering is a show of solidarity and respect for the courageous stand hundreds of thousands of Iranian citizens are taking to demand basic rights that we enjoy so freely in this great country.
We welcome everyone to come and participate in this rally and display how the power of communication brings this world closer to gather.
We encourage everyone to wear black to mourn the fallen brothers and sisters.
We are working with prominent leaders of our state and community with hopes to have them on hand to support this gathering.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a peaceful show of solidarity, not a protest!
Please leave your flags and negative slogans at home; this has nothing to do with the past. It’s about the future of our people and citizens of this world who care about freedom.
