Born in 1953 and grew up in Tehran as teenager, received an education in Texas, and has treasured living in the Bay Area since 1980 as a professional Civil/Earthquake Engineering Consultant. He now spends his time as a "Social Entrepreneur" for 12Petals Media Group. This entity strives to be a union of creators and social entrepreneurs of media and visual arts working together to promote and encourage respect for those rights protected by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and endeavors to enhance the Declaration' s impact on all people and cultures. Larry Everest
Author of "Oil, Power & Empire: Iraq and the U.S. Global Agenda". He has covered the Middle East and Central Asia for over 25 years for Revolution newspaper and other publications, reporting from Iraq, Palestine, India, and Iran in 1979 and 1980, shortly after the revolution that toppled the Shah, he interviewed Islamic militants then holding the U.S. Embassy, and reported from Iranian Kurdistan.
