Marina Nemat - North Shore Writers Festival
"Prisoner of Tehran" tells the story of Marina Nemat's arrest on false charges and imprisonment in Iran's notorious Evin prison in 1982, when she was 16 years old. She later emigrated to Canada and now lives in Toronto with her husband and two sons. Nemat was recently awarded the inaugural Human Dignity Prize by the European Parliament.
