Inspired by the songs of Bob Dylan and the guitar styling of Mark Knopfler, singer/songwriter and guitarist Arash Sobhani leads Persian band Kiosk. Hailed for its political yet humorous Farsi lyrics, the blues/rock/jazz band takes aim at cultural and economic trends in contemporary Iranian society. Experience Kiosk’s distinct brand of protest music, which is banned in Iran and distributed there only in secret.
