Screening Liberally proudly presents two short films about post-revolutionary Iran.

Young Republic (Nooshin J. Navidi, 29 minutes) - Reflective and lyrical,
Young Republic engages in dialogues with students and young people of
Iran. Playful conversations turn to heated debates, and humorous stories
lend insight into the how the young republic hopes to shape the future of
Iran.

A World Between (Nezam Manouchehri, 56 minutes) -
Marin County journalist, Jason Rezaian, travels to Iran to discover
his father's homeland. As he travels across the country, in each place we
meet his friends and relatives who help form a representative view of
Iranians rarely seen in the West.

Program begins at 8 p.m. - Panel Discussion with filmmaker Nooshin J.
Navidi and Writer Jason Rezaian to follow films.

Screening Liberally believes that when the lights go up, the movie-going experience continues. Bring your ideas, opinions and viewpoints. Let's talk. Screening Liberally: promoting democracy one film at a time.

Tickets will be available at the door on the night of the event. But for organizing purposes we appreciate your RSVP: RSVPscreeningliberallysf@yahoo.com.
