Nassim Assefi (nassimassefi.com) reads from her novel Aria
Maggie Dubris reads from her illustrated book, The Dust Zone, with a slideshow of Scott Gillis's drawings
Carol Dysinger, filmmaker, shares “My Life with the Afghan National Army”
Adventure Divas (adventuredivas.com)highlights women under the cha-dor in book and documentary
Free & Open to the Public at Leela Lounge, 1 West 3rd Street (between Broadway and Mercer), New York City, with Indian appetizers & no-host bar.
A portion of proceeds from book, music, and DVD sales will be donated to Hedgebrook, a women's writing residency on Whidbey Island where these women are alumnae. Royalties from Nassim's books will benefit Iranian non-profit organizations.
