Persian New Year (Norooz) at Habitot Children's Museum
Enjoy A FREE movie screening of the animated movie, "Babak & Friends - A First Norooz", presented at the Landmark Theater's Shattuck Cinema (above Habitot) at 10:00 am & 11:00 am . Meet the award-winning producer, Shabnam Rezaei, from Norooz Productions, at 10:30 am. Throughout the day, dancers, storytellers, and artists will engage children and families in Persian New Year traditions. The Shahrzad Dance Academy will perform live classical Persian dances from 3:00 - 3:30 pm. Children can create "tokhme-morgh" eggs with paint and create a pot for planting "sabzeh" wheatgrass. Iranian children’s stories will be told from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
