Traditional Laments from Tajikistan
Distinguished "falak" singer Rustam Duloev, accompanied by Yuval Ron on the oud and Jamie Papish on percussion, performs a program of traditional laments in Persian. Incorporating themes of spirituality, love, and pain, "falak" draws on Persian folk and mystical poetry and is one of the most important genres of music and poetry in Tajikistan.
