Our beautiful new venue for this event is Club VXN(Vixen) in the North Beach district of San Francisco. This club has just been created thanks to $500k of remodeling, turning this into an awesome 3 story event location. It features a state of the art sound system, large bathrooms facilties, and 2 full bars so no half-hour waits for drinks.

The club is located at 270 Columbus, on the corner of Broadway and Columbus, only 1 block away from Steps of Rome and Maykadeh. To celebrate this event, we're giving all girls free entry before midnight and guys free before 11PM. In addition, the club will be open all the way til 4AM. That means you don't have to worry about finding someone to drive you home, risking a DUI, or even having to stop drinking early.

This is sure to be our best event ever, so don't let this pass you by.

Of course, you can't have a party without some really great music.
DJs Dr.T and DJ Sergio will be playing the hottest Persian and international music including Arabic, Turkish, Spanish, and Greek.

And for all you modern Persians, we also have DJ Ali(AKA D'AL from Paradox, Back2Basics SF) and Mohammad(SF) playing some of the sweetest SF House music around.

Also, for those of you that are driving to the location, please be aware parking becomes scarce after 11:30 so try to arrive early.

THIS IS BOGUS! You say its free, IT IS NOT. The fine print says before 11! Nice one on top of the cover charge the parking there is very expensive.

I don't understand the b i t c h i n g about the parking.... You guys don't have a problem finding parking when going to North Beach for a walk.... Plus its a frree event so just pay the money you're charged for cover in other places towards the parking and you're at least even if not ahead.....
The big question is if the event is happening... And I think Doktor Teh has had good track record in organzing good parties...
I personally think no event will be very happening that night since there is os many things going in and around town..

Sasan jon, the point is that the event is not free.
They are ripping people off by telling them that it is free but they neglect to mention only before 11:30, until you read into the e-mails. In these cases even if you are there before 11:30 they hold up the lines so everyone has to pay.
And yes because promoters get greedy and plan events on the same nights instead of being considerate and spreading the events so that the persian comunity can have several nights of gatherings they all compete and just try to get $ in their pockets! As a result all of their parties will be bad because people will have to split up. Ridiculous in my opinion.

Get there by 11:00 and you're sure to be set for the night.

Based on my experience.. %80 of people who show up for an event, are at the bar or on the dance floor by 11:30... So this event is free for most people....
So are you saying all promoters should have a central scheduling center?! That is the weirdest proposal yet! Promoters are businessmen.. they do this for money.. they don't do this work for charity...As a businessman they all try to stay competetive and do all the right things to make money....To ask them to sit out on eid is like asking Mirrage to close on new year's eve so that Bellagio can have more customers....
I think we should welcome the competition between promoters and hope that it remains healthy and focuses on quality so that more Iranians are motivated to participate in these events so we all stop seeing the same 15 people everywhere we go.........

WOW You cannot be serious!!!
The only BIG difference is that DR T, Soly Luna nor Persia SF are NOT Mirrage and Bellagio. We see the same people because proportionally speaking there are a hand full of Iranians in the Bay Area compared to the Number of "American" So naturally you will see the same people, What do you expect "new" Iranians to fall out of thin air!?
Buttom line is that these promoters are also responsible for promoting our culture, promoting togetherness and creating a network among Iranian. 1/2 of the people that I know, I have met at events similar to this.
They could have made a very eventful weekend out of it by having one event on Friday night and the Other on Saturday. This way, they would have been able to be very profitable "business men" and we all would have been able to benefit from both events.
And to answer your question, Many of us have family here and being that it is Nowruz, we are spending time with them and with about an hour drive to the city NO WE WILL NOT BE IN THE CITY BY 11. Specially not IF it goes till 4AM! Who do you know that stays at a club for over 5 hours?? and besides go back and read what i wrote I am very familiar of "their" ways. They will hold up the line and people will be forced to get in after 11:30! and why advertise it as a "free event" . IF you look at Dr T's past events they all had the same free before 11 rule and none of them were ever advertised as a "free event"
This is not what you call friendly competition this is called FALSE ADVERTISING!
