Shab Sher of Ahmad Shamloo, this master poet of liberty from Iran, is another program in our series of Shab Sher in New Jersey scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2006. Ahmad Shamloo, this prominent Iranian poet and thinker, sociologist and everyday analyzer of unspoken words, challenges our inner selves and reveals the purpose of life, liberty and humanity. He lived for hope and passion for justice. The only documentary on his life will be presented during the January 7, 2006 Shab Sher together with a lecture on his life by Dr. Maghsoudloo. This Shab Sher will be held in the prestigeous FIESTA, deservingly so, in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey. The highlight of the program will include the unique performance of Ms. Monika Jalili, this ever rising suprano singing Iranian folklore songs. Our regular music group of Messrs. Farhad Nazem and Farhad Parzivand will provide the ambiance associated with these events. The program will start at 7:30 and will include: Presentation, live music, lectures, poetry recitation by the audience and full-course dinner with desserts, fruits, tea, coffee & ice cream.
