History is made and the first Iranian American, Ross Mirkarimi, is elected to San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors.
This is a win for San Francisco District 5, San Francisco at large, and all the ethnic communities in San Francisco, especially our community: the Iranian Americans.

We accomplished what we dreamed that Thursday August 5th, 2004, at L’Enrecote Restaurant, when I asked you to support his candidacy and called it a Grand Test of our community
Many of you responded warmly and enthusiastically and volunteered your time, money, advice, care,…. and brought our community closer together.
