The Society of Iranian Professionals (SIP) would like to extend an invitation to join us in listening to Dr. Hamid Najafi, Mr. Behzad Kashani, VP Procket Networks, Mr.Kambiz Hooshmand, GM Cisco, and Dr. Mohammad Ketabchi, Founder of Savvion to speak at our forum on technology.
"Review: new wireless technology and applications" Dr. Hamid Najafi BIO: Dr. Najafi founded Wireless Link Corp. in 1993 and grew the company to more than $20M and sold it to CSI Wireless. Dr. Najafi has been working on starting three wireless companies, two of which have been formed and are currently developing products. Dr.Najafi received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1983. Dr. Najafi is a six time patent holder with four more in progress.
"Startups, to do or not to do?" Behzad Kashani, VP Procket Networks BIO: Behzad helped rocket with the innovation and implementation of the next generation customer model called "Service Intelligence", promising delivery of maximum network reliability, availability and low operation cost to customers. Behzad has held management positions at Cisco, AT&T, Bell Labs, and received his MSEE from University of Colorado, and an MBA from UCLA.
"The Economic Impact of Telecommunications" Kambiz Hooshmand, GM Cisco BIO: Kambiz Hooshmand, a seven-year veteran of Cisco Systems currently heads the carrier Core Multiservice Business Unit whose mission is to enable carriers, wireless providers and ISPs to deliver mission critical data a services, and high availability networks. Kambiz received his MS in Engineering Management from Stanford.
"The relationships amongst technology, politics and economy" Dr. Mohammad Ketabchi, Founder of Savvion BIO: Savvion was founded in 1994 by Dr. M.A. Ketabchi who put
together a seasoned management team to build the business, develop the leading Business Process Management technology and grow a large and respected base of customers. With a balance of academic strengths, technology leadership and business acumen the Savvion management team continues to propel Savvion into the e Business revolution.
